"I developed this program as something I wish I had access to many years ago, I completed a full time 2 year diploma and I still felt that my music was nowhere near where it needed to be. I embarked on a 9 year journey of personal development, research & learning. I attended seminars & learned from experienced engineers. Through this course, I am sharing my journey as an artist."
- Will Kinsella, Techno Artist & Founder, Elevator Program
"Will taught me early on in my career and helped me lay the foundations to what my sound is today. He is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to music production and has a talent in being able to explain and break things down to even the more novice producer"
- Mark Greene, Techno Artist, Intec Digital
Introduction: Everyone needs guidance at one point or another in their career. The Artist Development Program utilises an artist-centred approach to developing the industry specific skills required for modern day electronic music producer to be successful.
Background: The Artist Development Program was developed by Berlin based Live Techno Artist Will Kinsella. It is the product of 8 years of working with artists of all levels in Dublin Institute of Technology and the Sound Training Centre. He has performed at Space Ibiza, Privilege, Amnesia, Melkweg Amsterdam, District 8 and his music has been played by people like Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, John Digweed and Dave Clarke.
How it works: The program is delivered weekly over 6 months, using blended learning techniques, weekly masterclass video content and assignments. You will receive a weekly email alerting you to new content.
The program is designed as a series of building blocks. You will be asked to start at least 4 new projects, each week you will use that weeks master class to add to and build on those projects. By the time you are finished you will have at least a 4 track EP ready for mastering (we will also show you how to master).
Who it's aimed at: The Artist Development Program is suitable for all levels, anybody who wants to produce music at a world class standard.
Aims & Outcomes: The Program aims to improve your skills as an artist. This is achieved using our blended learning methods.
Goals: Learn how to set SMART goals, and how to map out the steps required to achieve them.
Weekly tasks: Learn how build your tracks step-by-step, by implementing the skills and knowledge you’ve learned from your weekly lectures.
"The Artist Development Program is the most engaging course I've done in years. There is a mix of reading, video tutorials, assignments, and personal feedback. Every bit of information shared by the trainer is valuable. The course has helped me be more confident in understanding Ableton, pushes me to explore its features and ensures the quality of sound throughout. "
